Service with the highest quality standards
QUALITY is our top priority.
We always offer our customers the best possible quality and the highest standards.
On the following pages we would like to inform you about our quality assurance procedures and the heat treatment methods we use.
Quality assurance
Our quality assurance system/quality management system documents and monitors every order from receipt of the pipe to delivery of the elbow.
Our control mechanisms guarantee you consistently high quality for every sheet in a production series.
Both internal and external audits contribute to this high quality.
We are certified and approved according to:
- ISO 9001:2015
- DNV GL
- PED 2014/68/EU (PED 97/23/EG)
You can download the certificates in the download area.
In close cooperation with Lloyds Register, Bureau Veritas, Det Norske Veritas and the American Bureau of Shipping, we can also carry out the corresponding inspections.
Heat treatment
Our annealing centre allows us to break new ground in the heat treatment of our pipe bends. We have three heat treatment furnaces that are controlled by a central computer and allow us to use the following processes:
- Normalizing
- Stress-relief annealing
- Solution annealing
All heat treatments are recorded and attached for analysis and later documentation.
Normalising annealing
Normalising, also called normalising, is used to eliminate structural irregularities. The material is brought to a temperature above the transformation point. The pipe bends are then cooled in a controlled manner. This process produces a more uniform and finer microstructure. Some materials require subsequent “tempering” in a temperature range of 700-780°C…
Stress-relief annealing
Stress-relief annealing is used to reduce stresses that arise during deformation from the pipe to the pipe bend. Here, too, the elbows are heated to a certain temperature, depending on the material, but not quite as high as in normalising. Subsequently, they are cooled down in the air.
Solution annealing
In solution annealing, pipe elbows made of austenitic steel are heated to a temperature of between 1020°C and 1080°C. They are then rapidly cooled down in a water bath.
